Dear Woodcrest Families,
Tomorrow, Monday, December 1st, we return from Thanksgiving Break and jump right into one of our favorite times of the yearāour 13 Days of Holiday Spirit! Each day will have a fun themed dress-up activity. Please check the flyers below for the full schedule.
Students can earn points for their 2nd period class, and the class with the highest participation by December 16th will win a cupcake and cookie partyāalong with bragging rights! Will Mr. Kembleās 8th grade 2nd period take the title again, or will a new class rise to the top? We canāt wait to find out!
A reminder that the end of the 6-week grading period for Trimester Two is December 12th. These grades are especially important, as they will be used in January for Basketball tryouts. Please encourage students to stay focused and finish strong.
On Thursday, December 11th, we will be hosting a Raising Caneās Fundraiser from 12 PM to 9 PM at the Caneās in the Chino Spectrum. Let them know youāre from Woodcrest to support our ASB programāand please invite friends and family!
We also invite you to come support our talented musicians. Our band will be proudly performing in theĀ Chino Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 13th.Ā In addition, ourĀ Christmas Band PerformanceĀ will take place onĀ Monday, December 15th at 6 PM in the gym.Ā
We look forward to a festive, spirited, and productive start to December. Have a wonderful week, Wolverines!
Please ensure your student:
- Arrives to school and each class on time.

- Brings their school ID, charged laptop and charger, and all necessary materials.

Important Reminders:
Student ID badges must be worn daily.Ā If a student does not have their ID they can go to the office to have one printed for them for the day. On the 3rd instance they will receive a lunch detention for not being responsible. It is the student's responsibility to wear it daily. ID Badges are used during lunch time to speed up the process for students getting their lunch in the lines. If students do not have their ID's on them they will be asked to go to the back of the line as to not hold up the lunch lines.Ā
Hats are not permittedĀ on campus
No Gum on campus
Phones, ear buds, headphones, and all electronic devicesĀ must beĀ turned off and stored in backpacksĀ before entering campus

No drop-off or pick-up in the driveway directly in front of the office.
No parking in school parking spaces for drop-off or pick-up.

No stopping or parking in the private community across from the school.
Why This Matters Students use the crosswalks in our parking lots, and unauthorized driving through these areas creates safety hazards.

š¬ Counselorās Corner: Week After Thanksgiving Break, Dec 1st-5th
Dear Families,
Welcome back! We hope everyone had a restful and joyful Thanksgiving Break. We are excited to finish the year strongāthere are only 13 school days until Winter Break, and this is an important time for students to stay focused and finish the second 6-week grading period successfully.
š Academics ā End of 6 Weeks on December 12th The end of the 2nd 6 weeks of Trimester 2 is Friday, December 12th. These grades are especially important because they will be used to determineĀ eligibility for basketball tryouts in January. To participate, students must meet the GPA and citizenship requirementsāso now is the time to:

š Basketball Eligibility Students wishing to try out in January must:
š PBIS: Respectful, Responsible, Safe Continue to earn PBIS points every day! Students can redeem them in the Wellness Room/Zen Den before school. Letās finish these 13 days showing our Wolverine expectations with pride.

š Before School Intervention has started! Before School Intervention Program for students who need extra academic support.
Days: Every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
Time: 8:00 AM ā 9:00 AM
Location: Library Students who are struggling in their classes should see Miss Torres for a Before School Intervention Permission Slip. A parent signature is required in order to attend. This is a great opportunity for students to get help, improve grades, and strengthen their learning before the trimester ends.
